How We Do It
Tuesday Morning is a standardized, centrally driven, multi-channel, low expense national retail chain specializing in both domestic and international closeouts of medium to high-end name brand gifts, soft home, home furnishings, housewares, luggage, toys, seasonal items, gourmet food and fashion accessories for men, women and children.
Our roots were planted in 1974 when founder Lloyd Ross held his first "garage sale." Ross decided on Tuesday Morning as the company name because "it is the first positive day of the week."
Since our beginning, we have stayed true to the idea of a "no frills" shopping experience with our focus on designer and name-brand merchandise.
Go down each aisle at least twice; you may miss something if you don't.

Shopping closeout is a treasure hunt -- you never know what you'll find in our stores, but it is always a steal. Try to keep an open mind and don't be too specific about what you're searching for. Sometimes we get amazing deals on items that may vary by store, so shop numerous locations for exciting new finds.

In a rented warehouse in North Dallas, Tuesday Morning founder, Lloyd Ross holds his first "garage sale."
1975
Tuesday Morning is incorporated.
1979
Tuesday Morning opens its first permanent store location in Texas.
1984
Tuesday Morning, Inc goes public.
1985
Tuesday Morning sends its first event mailer.
1988
A new warehouse facility is built.
1990
Sales exceed $100 million.
1994
After months of suggestions, planning and design, a sophisticated computer system is installed to control merchandise traffic.
2003
The process of remodeling all stores begins.
2010
Tuesday Morning joins social networking sites, giving customers a whole new way to talk about the store they love.
2013
Tuesday Morning boasts nearly 800 stores.
